The transportation department employs 10 drivers, who work in shifts, driving 8 vehicles, as follows:
The department’s activities include transportation of:
1. nurses and workers
2. patients who have appointments or those to be hospitalized
3. examinations/samples sent to other hospitals’ laboratories
4. blood transfusions to the Tel-Hashomer and Haifa blood banks
5. medical and other equipment all over the country
6. administration errands, mail delivery, etc.
7. medical students from Haifa
