The Stroke Unit at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center organized a professional stroke conference for United Hatzalah volunteers. The conference, which was attended by hundreds of volunteers, included several fascinating lectures by Hillel Yaffe's experts
The lectures addressed important subjects such as early detection of strokes, the care required until arrival at the Department of Emergency Medicine, signs and methods for diagnosing a stroke, and methods for primary and secondary prevention of the disease.
The conference was organized by Mahmoud Abu Khalaf, the hospital’s Stroke Coordinator Nurse, along with United Hatzalah. This initiative was designed to raise awareness of strokes among the organization’s volunteers and to provide them with knowledge and important tools to handle emergency stroke cases.
